A chair is an object, a place a tool. It is where humans pause, wait, work, and reflect. It offers stability yet also dictates postures. It shapes how bodies occupy space, position themselves, and relate to other bodies. Both an invitation and a constraint, it embodies rest while simultaneously demanding productivity and performance. Sedentarily Obsessed - Sedated on the Edge of our Seat is a col lective project and the culmination of a one-semester course thinking with and through performance and performing arts, some of their (his)stories, some of their methodologies, and their political potential. It includes a performance series, performative installations, and video works.

The exhibition and performance series was developed within the course Cross disciplinary Project Work Face A Face B held together with Thomas Geiger at the Department of Transformation Studies in 2025.
